As the three of them are forced to play house, they fall into a routine and it would be easy for Lana and Cal to imagine a life together but the looming end of the summer and Cal leaving is one of the things that has Lana holding onto any sense of letting herself fall again for the man who so obviously wants to become someone who is worthy of her time. Six years pass and Cal has never returned to Lake Wisteria (except for one time) where Lana lives and he used to visit his grandfather Brady Kane during the summer. As good old Brady would have it, Cal needs to sell the house that Brady left for him to be able to get his inheritance and help his brothers secure their portion of the Dreamland franchise that Brady created. Little dose Cal know that Brady was a sneaky man who had more puzzle pieces than Cal expects, and when he shows up to the lake house for the first time in years, he finds out that none other than Lana had actually inherited half of the lake house. Causing Cal how to find a way to convince Lana to sell the house. Final Offer is a new adult romance featuring the forced proximity, second chance romance, enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, and single parent tropes. This is the third and final installment in Lauren Asher’s Dreamland Billionaires trilogy, so if you’re new to this series, you should start with book one, The Fine Print, to avoid spoilers. This would be perfect for fans of romance novels like Twisted Love by Ana Huang, Things We Never Got Over by Lucy Score, Hook, Line, and Sinker by Tessa Bailey, Every Summer After by Carley Fortune, Lizzie Blake’s Best Mistake by Mazey Eddings, and In the Weeds by B.K. Borison. Some themes present in Final Offer include loneliness and isolation, growing up, family, wealth, desire to escape, love and heartbreak, death, mental health, and addiction, but be aware of the following trigger warnings for absentee parents, alcoholism and addiction, and death of a family member (prior to story).

I did however love how the Kane family reunited and interacted throughout the book. It gave me all the warm and fuzzy feelings to see all three brothers conquer their demons and create the family they deserved. Several comments about this book. Firstly like all Asher's books, it is well written with a lot of detail and of course with much fun, humour and deathly romantic. I enjoy the Dreamland series and this one doesn't disappoint. Always looking out for exciting new ideas to help inspire her next novel, she’s always taking inspiration from the world around her. Visiting numerous different restaurants in her spare time, she’s got an active imagination when it comes to creating different novels. Still writing to this day, she’s got a busy schedule with more books and series planned for release in the near future. Cal is totally swoonworthy; not only is he a committed cat dad, but he is also so sweet to Lana’s daughter, Cami, and it was very cute to see Cal develop an almost instant dad-like connection with Cami. Seeing how Cal learned to use books as a healthier way of coping with some of his mental health struggles was great to see and I think that other readers will connect with this as well. My favourite part of Final Offer was the epic trip to Dreamland (the Kane family’s Disney-esque theme park), which included a princess makeover and fireworks! Asher included some comedic elements in this novel that were brilliant; for example, Cal unknowingly volunteers to dress-up in an embarrassing costume for the community Strawberry festival. It was great having the other Kane brothers (and their significant others) still part of the plot in Final Offer and made regular appearances throughout the novel. Without spoiling anything, I felt like the ending, both of this story and the series, was very fitting. As for the couple, it is so easy to love them. They are both hurt from their past and can’t let it go, but at the same, they can't stay away from each other. Even while they’re trying to shut down their feelings for each other and to put some distance between them, fearing for the worst, it’s impossible not to hope for them to get together—not when their chemistry and interactions always feel so light and natural. Their fears—mostly hers—and hesitations are totally comprehensible and fair—which led to some painful scenes, but also made it delightful to see the way they both worked hard and put effort in making things right this time.

For the final book – Final Offer, I tried to keep my expectations low. Even with low expectations, I finished reading the book and felt a little disappointment. Final Offer wasn’t a terrible book; however, for a book ending this trilogy I expected it to go out with a bang. This is everything I hoped it would be. Everything. I loved Cal in Terms and conditions but we never really got this side of him. He’s still funny but turns out his life is a mess and throughout the book you see a lot of character growth from him. Lana is incredibly strong, sometimes a little impulsive but that’s understandable. Lauren Asher: I am excited to be working on a new series that will be a part of the Dreamland/ Dirty Air universe. To receive my inheritance, I was tasked with spending a summer at the family lake house before selling it. As much as I love the grumpy sunshine trope going on with the first two books, I love the golden retriever energy that Cal has and his undying loyalty that he has. I love his determination to change for himself and becoming a person who would be deserving of a better life.

Thank you to Little Brown Book Group UK and NetGalley for providing me with an e-arc of Final Offer by Lauren Asher in exchange for an honest review.First all can we talk about how I love how the book touched on love and struggling with an addiction. I think it can help someone who has either dealt with this in life or has someone who's struggling with an addiction and how they can cope. Culturess: I’m sure a lot of us are going to have a book hangover after finishing Final Offer. Do you have any recommendations for books you’d suggest reading after it? What I do like is that Asher does portray the FMC as a strong, no-nonsense woman and not some wash out about what she does and doesn't expect from life. I like that her work is well written and descriptive with well rounded characters. I enjoy the pace and the slow burn plus the tension build up between her enemies-to-lovers trope. With this Asher excels. I will be reading other work by her at some point in the near future. It has plenty of spice in it if that's your thing, for me I ended up skimming some of it as it was repetitive. But if this is your thing you won't be disappointed.

The first in the Dreamland Billionaires Series. I actually read this second and the second one first, so please note you can read them as standalones.Being the heir to his family’s media empire, Declan is the CEO of a major legacy, but his grandfather’s will stipulates that he must marry and have an heir of his own. His assistant Iris then volunteers for the job, and the position seems simple at first; get married and have a baby together. They’re not supposed to fall in love, that is until a passion between them both begins to grow, one that they desperately try to fight off. Will they both end up together finally, is Declan going to continue his family’s legacy, and just what are the terms and conditions? I'm the Kane brother everyone gossips about -trust fund brat,washed-up athlete,high-functioning alcoholic... No one knows the real me but her. Lana Castillo - my childhood best friend and the only woman I ever loved, until I broke her heart six years ago. But now, my grandfather's will changes everything. To receive my inheritance, I was tasked with spending a summer at the family lake house before selling it.Turns out Lana doesn't just live at the house, but she claims to own it too. Let me tell you, Cami (Lana’s daughter) is a little spitfire and had an adorable way of stealing the show from either Lana or Cal. Kami is probably the biggest reason that Lana made it through those six years after having her heart broken by Cal. Cami gave Lana a reason to make it through each day, and you it’s clear that Kami and Lana have an unbreakable relationship with love and trust. With Cami only being old enough to be in elementary school she is smart and observant with that childish charm that lowkey freaks Cal out at first but also steals his heart like Lana did.

If you’re getting excited about Final Offer or just want to know more about Lauren Asher, then our Q&A is exactly the treat you need before Final Offer comes out. Lauren Asher talks about Final Offer, inspiration, and more in our interview. Culturess: Without giving away any details about Final Offer, I will say that it’s unlike the previous two installments in the series. Did you always know that was how Cal’s story was going to be?Their story is also about forgiveness, trust and healing. It is full of angsty, but also beautiful moments. In general, the characters' pains, fears and feelings made them relatable, and their journeys and development were amazing and very well worked. Besides, I love how Cal made it clear that he wanted to get better not only for Lana and Cami, but for himself—for him to be the man he knows he can be, a man that deserves them. It showed how much he'd grown and it is the best development his character could've had! Cal decides that it is finally time to get sober for himself and that he owes himself the changes that could come along with it. And, he decides that he would spend every last second of a sober life proving to Lana that he is the man that could give her and Cami a life filled with love. Book Three of the interconnected-standalone Dreamland Billionaire series by Tiktok Sensation, Lauren Asher is finally here!
